Why Your Videos and Websites are not getting seen as much as you need.

The biggest problem with online businesses is getting and keeping audience attention.

Everybody knows video is the number one tool to fight this problem but the truth is, it doesn’t do the job alone.


The people who find ways to increase viewer attention time on their websites and videos WIN the attention game. So if getting more attention and holding it longer is key to making more revenue, then the question is, how can you do that?

We have a client we have worked with for years helping him improve his sales conversions.

The client is Viktor Grant and he recently came to us to explore ways to keep his viewers interested in his videos longer, and the solution we proposed was very unusual.

Viktor’s Youtube channel and his website videos were generally speaking,…. having some pretty good content.

But he felt the number of views, the average watch time and some other metrics were needing improvement.

We already knew the average watch time of videos has steadily declined since video started becoming more accessible, easier to load and play. Which in itself is an odd fact because today, videos load faster than ever.

But the problem isn’t a tech issue, its a patience and attention issue, people just don’t give their attention as freely anymore.

Most videos don’t get watched past about 27-35% and the average viewer is GONE after about 15 -45 seconds.

But we knew we could do better with some interactive presentations so we asked Viktor a simple question.

If we can produce much longer videos and infuse them into a presentation without software and keep people watching past 27% and 45 seconds would he be willing to consult with us on bigger projects. He answered yes and the case study began.

We had a presentation we were working on that was relevant to his audience. After some changes and finishing touches, we had him send some of his traffic to it.

Now this presentation is about 5 minutes long and ends on a long copy webpage that is not very exciting and mostly not video based.

He thought we would have trouble keeping people on the page for more than 2 minutes.

On the first test, we were happy to report we smashed the 5 minute mark and kept the viewer around for 14 minutes and we celebrated a huge victory!


But then we noticed this was not the best result we had.

So we grabbed another visitor’s data from our testing and found another 12 minute strong happy viewer. We also felt we had validated the first results again, forget about viewers leaving after 27% or 45 seconds we were now in epic territory!


THEN we noticed something interesting, this viewer actually came back an hour later as you can see below and spent another 9 minutes enjoying the content. THAT is 20 minutes total and both times they watched 100% of the video!

Then we dug into this further looking at other visitors. What we found blew our minds!

This same 5 minute presentation page clocked an amazing 38 minutes of watch time!!


So this was starting to look like something needing closer attention, so we pushed more traffic at the page to make sure this was not some kind of fluke.

This 5 minute presentation page started to perform like a champ, we found all kinds of people spending a crazy amount of time on the page. Since 2016 we have worked on this technology because we have felt it deserved attention and the results for the last 5 years are astounding.
